I would just try connecting through your router rather than the PS3.

shouldn't.
I use 3.10oe and no problem.
I used on 3.03 oe and had no problems.
With your infinite hacking skills you should try to hack this one?
Since hacking on-line games like WoW is a piece of cake for you.

on the topic of ricanthug2nv
thread that irked me.

I just don't like people who brag alot.
maybe I got lil carried away but i think you get my point none the less.
I used to work for on-line gaming company so I kinda took it offensive.
I heard so many claims that they can crack this, that, hack this and hack that. Until they prove it to me I won't believe a word they are saying.

it wont work that way, you have to hook straight to the ps3. call this a stupid question but, do you have the 60 gig ps3?

You have to connect direcly to the PS3, AND, you have to have the 60GB model PS3.
The SSID for remote play connection and the encryption key (WPA key) are set on the PS3 system. These are set under (Settings) > (Network Settings) > [Remote Play Connection Settings]. For details, refer to the PS3 system software user's guide.
PSP system settings: Create a network connection using the SSID and WPA key set on the PS3 system.
1.Turn on the PS3 system, and then select (Remote Play) under (Network). Make sure that the remote play connection settings have already been made on the PS3 system.
2. Select (Network Settings) under (Settings).
3. Select [Infrastructure Mode].
4. Select [New Connection].
5. Select [Scan]. The PSP begins searching for PS3 systems within range; actually, is scans and will detect any WIRELESS access points.
6. Select the PS3 system's SSID. This is the SSID that you created in [Remote Play Connection Settings] on the PS3 system. The SSID of the PS3 system to be connected for remote play is selected.
7. Select [WPA-PSK (AES)].
8. Enter the WPA key. Enter the encryption key that was set on the PS3 system. The encryption key you entered is displayed as asterisks.
9. Select [Easy]. Basic settings are automatically selected.
10. Check the connection name, and then press the right button. You can change the connection name to use any name you like.
11. Confirm the content of the settings list.
12. Save your settings.
13. Test the connection. If the connection is successful, information from the connected PS3 system is displayed.
Hint: During the connection test, the Internet connection is displayed as [Failed], but the connection can be used for remote play.
Starting Remote Play
1. Turn on the PS3 system, and then select (Remote Play) under (Network). Make sure that the remote play connection settings have already been made on the PS3 system.
2. Select (Remote Play) under (Network) on the PSP system.
3. Select the connection that was created for Remote Play. If the connection is successful, the PS3 system screen will be displayed on the PSP system.
Hints: To stop the Remote Play feature, press the HOME button, and then select [Quit Remote Play].
Connection with a PS3 system for Remote Play is possible within the range of access to the PS3 system's wireless LAN.

Ok follwed the instructions and worked perfectly. However, you can't do anything with your ps3 afterwards as long as remote control is on.
...and using ps3 in psp is really slow. When you go thru the menu in your psp, it's pretty slow...
Anyway, that's what i observed in 5 min. ![]()
will talk about more once i experience more if i use it again ![]()

I happen to like it. I use it a lot so i can watch movies or listen to music while i chill in the tub or while I clean the house & my boys are asleep and I dont have to take anything off my PSP memory stick.

i want to remote play without using the net.. just the normal remote play...
i cant do remote play without my wifi modem turned on...
because if the modem didnt turned on, the wifi indicator on the ps3 doesn't light up green...
if the indicator doesn't light up green it means my ps3 wifi isn't turned on...
