The JTAG port was found on the PS3s BluRay drive, nothing has been done with it yet.
I haven't done anything, and I can't, for LEGAL reasons that go beyond, WAY beyond, local government; and leave it at that. I don't hack anymore, and IF I do, it's in the privacy of my own home.
I just reposted the article from Eurasia, I won't bother with it, it isn't ALL that...
"Powerslave" is ONE word, not two...

well why dont you conceal your identity from general public like i mean dark-alex nobody knows him so no body can get him (they can but its difficult i guess) but anyway thanks for answering ....i think you could be the dark-alex for ps3 if u want to be
but apparently thats not what you want
OFF TOPIC
i think the home brew section should be removed altogether cuz there is nobody who can have any idea which isnt discussed on this site so post a sticky there saying YOU CANNOT HACK THE PS3 NEITHER CAN WE SO DONT WRITE ANYTHING HERE or delete the homebrew section

I am not a fraud or Coward, I don't hide behind anything. I have been Powerslave since 1984, and are not about to change it because I want to be a hacker. My days are DONE, I did my part a long time ago, and it's up to the next generation of progeny.
I am not being a jerk, bit no one HERE has what it takes to crack open the PS3. I have my conclusions, and all I can say, and have BEEN saying; people are attacking this from the WRONG direction. People want way too much, way too soon, and it's leading to ZIP.
As far as the home-brew section, BD-Java worked at one time, plus it's on the XB360 site, and they're just getting to it with the JTAG jack. that M$ patched up immediately, but you have to take a system update...
Don't think that Sony doesn't know about the BR-D JTAG port being found, and are already working on a defense. People don't know how to keep their mouths (keyboards) shut, so the companies are warned way too quickly, and get fixes quickly.
The only way the PS3 will be hacked, will be from a disgruntled Sony employee, directly involved with the security.
