Would be possible, but since the two companies are at war with each other, that won't happen.  M$ did cross platform to PCs with some titles so you can play Live from a PC with XB360 players.  Since most PS3 games are ports, it would NOT be hard to adapt to play Live players, but, there is NO way that's happening...

i would say , m$ crossed the line, and anyone that plays xbox can never be my friend ..... wait, do i have alot enemy's on this forum now?, somebody make me moderator so i can wipe them all out

Look at the auto industry?  Our domestic companies use foreign platforms, but they war TV ads all the time.  Ford uses Mazda and other platforms, GM uses Opel & Daewoo platforms.  The Pontiac Vibe is a Matrix...  That's why the $4500 trade in didn't help domestic car companies, Toyota got most of it.  The good reliable cars are the same, but the foreign companies offer better warranties for THEIR emblems, so they went with foreign cars.

M$ and APPLE are the same company, basically...

Watch your tone son. Just because car companies as Powerslave suggested may share some parts or whatever doesnt mean the extremely competitive gaming market is ever gonna coexist together willingly. Every console has its own perks why theirs is "the best". I could see maybe two failing consoles merging to keep their head above water but right now thats not going to happen. They are all strong in their own right.
