i heard a possible reason is that more the online people on psn more clusturing power there is somebody told me that ps3's cpu is used for research purposes by many companies through online clustering. so no offline mplyr=more online ppl=more cpu powre is this possible?

Playing on-line games has absolutely NO clustering effect at all, where did you get THAT idea?  They just keep coming...

Damn, it's not sony/ps3 that cause games to not have an off-line/local multi-player aspect, that decision is entirely up to the games developers.

You'll never worry about that with genres like fighting games and sports games though.
I don't know about upcoming games but MotorStorm Pacific Rift has local multi-player and im pretty sure GT5 will have it.
