Re: PSN VS XBOX Live

I have both and to be honest I love both. The online services both have plus sides and down sides. What does it for me is the console itself, and therefore the PS3 wins it for me. I do love the 360 though, and the online side of it is great. For most people, the downside to Live is having to pay for it...but is £25 a year through eBay really that bad at all?!?! The only things I'd say that Live has that I really want on PSN are the ability to invite people in at a whim on 360 (and joining respectively) and the in-game chat. I still find it a total pain to have to send a message to meet somebody in a lobby on PS3 when every last game on 360 more or less works around the same thing. Like Bomberman Live on 360, you just go onto the friends list and press a button to invite them to the lobby. With Bomberman Ultra though, you have to press a button when in the lobby, choose between entering an ID or selecting a friend, then tick the friends you want to invite and then send them the stupid invite message....which they then have to read and select to join by going through a menu in the game.

Re: PSN VS XBOX Live

GTA IV DLC is the only thing appealing to me for the x360. Backups which are commonoly ~8GB and on Bittorent, have DMCA written all over them and proxies kill Bittorent.

Re: PSN VS XBOX Live

As for actually Playing Online PSN is better, but for the all a round service XBL is better.
Yet PSN is free and I am no longer paying for XBL so PSN Wins   ^_^

Re: PSN VS XBOX Live

You kinda dug this one up but I'll give my two cents...XBL>PSN  Part system with invites and chat and all is so much better than the PS3 it's embarrassing

The invite system is way better. In CoD 4 you can invite people no matter what game they are playing but on the PS they have to be playing the same game. Cross game chat is also awesome. The connection is also better. Then again you have to pay for it. Melon Bread have you really had enough time on Live to judge it? I've had both and Live is much better.

Re: PSN VS XBOX Live

I love how great LIVE works.  It's totally worth $50 a year...If I still used PS3 and its party system worked like XBOX and I actually knew people that had one...I would pay $50 a year for it but it's too late Sony...Microsoft will be getting that money

Re: PSN VS XBOX Live

Live is also Cross-platform compatible now.  If you have the game for the PC, you can play Xb360 players on Live, with the same game, AND get this; Live is FREE for PC users right now...  IF they could cross-platform the PS3 games, err, PORTS?  You'd have one hell of an on-line system...

Re: PSN VS XBOX Live

XBL could be great but I won´t use it. I live in Mexico and internet here is, as you may know, expensive and if  I have to add something more to play on-line I would say "no thankyou"

Personally I justify the Live cost by considering the fact I pirate the games.

Re: PSN VS XBOX Live

I like PSN better because it's free, I really don't use all the extra services on XBL anyway... but I like how they get some demo earlier than PSN and they got better arcades games... still though.. less bill less worry wink

You know I do what I can lol.

I knew you were gonna respond to that statement for some reason. I do somewhat support them though. I've bought 3 consoles, upgraded to a larger HDD, bought extra controllers, bought some arcade games and plan on getting more.

Re: PSN VS XBOX Live

I have considered flashing one of my three consoles, just never got around to it.  I will just sell the older one, with a Hitachi 47D, something like that... I don't need it...  I am thinking on buying another bike; a Honda 1984 or 87 Shadow 1100 (not the ACE motor).  My uncle "SAID" he paid 1800 for it, then put 300+ into new cobra mufflers, and about 150.00 into carburetor & fork work.  Then, he finds out one Jug needs a timing chain, so he's done with it, and wants $500.00 for it.  I got 300.00 of it now, just deciding what to do...  He can't afford the $160.00 for the chain, and the work to put it in.

Still, Piracy is just a shitty way to get what you want.  We have REAL pirates out there killing people, so the term used for this industry just dirties up the meaning of what it REALLY is; just stealing...  As I said, when you PIRATE something, you walk off with tangible property...

Pirating a game, the original is the source, you walk off with a COPY, not the original, and you PAY for the blank.  It should be called something else, now that Pirates in the oceans have bought the term back to attention.   Did you see the new Navy warships they built for that crap?  They now reach speeds in excess of 45 knots, about 52 mph, and sustained 44 knots for four hours!  These speeds are pretty impressive, considering that other (now older?) large naval vessels have been/are cruising along at 30 to 35 knots, and have been for decades...

Hahaha, I had a good laugh about this.
At least you are honest about it jsamp. I copy games for my brother and some games I want to try out as well. But I do buy majority if it counts for anything wink
