PS3-Hacks.com / 40gb wit KEM-400AAA ??????????????????

i just aquired a ps3 that the disk drive will not read disks after further examination i have determined that the problem is that the disk wont spin so i was lookin for a new mechanism and came across the 2 different models

the first is the
KEM-400AAA

and the second is the
KEM-410ACA

now on this site it says that the 400AAA is for all ps3s but the 40 and the 410ACA should be used on the 40 but when i opened my ps3 i have the 400AAA what does this mean????????

As long as the motherboard (logic board) from your original BR-drive will SWAP into the new one, there is no need for concern. You cannot just switch optical drives, they are married to the console.

how do i know that it will work tho also it looks like someone might have tried to replace it but it might have been the wrong one so i dunno im lost here lol:paranoid:
