- If you want to compile a Theme (p3t) with new 2.40/1 Icons, but you keep getting this error when trying to do it manually -

unknown tagname 'setable'

Then do this.

1. Complete your Theme (No sounds, if you make sounds they will be disabled.)

2. Save the .xml file, but don't build it.

3. Open the .xml file in a Hex/Text Editor (Notepad)

4. Find the <icontable> table. (http://www.bestps3themes.com/images/xml … hted_s.jpg)

5. a. Add this to the end of the table

<icon id="icon_trophy" src="trophyicon.png"/>
<icon id="icon_poweroff" src="powerofficon.png"/>
<icon id="icon_inet_search" src="internetsearchicon.png"/>
<icon id="icon_playing" src="playingicon.png"/>
<icon id="icon_playlist" src="playlisticon.png"/>
<icon id="icon_playlist_add" src="playlistaddicon.png"/>

(http://www.bestps3themes.com/images/xmlfilenew.jpg)

5. b. Make sure you rename the "src=" to the real value of the picture. (e.g. src="playlistaddicon.png" --- src="icon_add_playlist.png")

6. a. Find <setable /> value (http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm10 … itled1.jpg)
This may appear as -
<setable>
</setable>
(http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm10 … tled-1.jpg)

6. b. Delete the <setable> value (http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm10 … itled2.jpg)

7. Save and close the .xml file.

8. Click and drag the .xml file into "p3tcompiler.exe" (Manually)

9. Viola! Your New theme with 2.40/1 Icons should be created.

Thats going to take some time till we fig. that out but when we do i plan on making some if its not to difficult

dynamic Themes may need the ps3 SDK,

Yeah, someone in the links says regular them suck but then also says sony themes suck. Have you guys downloaded the dynamic Afrika theme from the Japanese store? The clouds in the theme are white and so ae the icons, you can't switch the icons either and the only way to make it visible is to change the brightness level in theme settings (if you haven't already).

I know the theme are like short games in the back ground but it would be nice if they allowed us to loop a huge gif image of are choosing in the background too. I would sooo have Kratos ripping off Helios's head in HD as mine. How sad.

Pretty much, the reason why they released these themes is because now they have a reason for us to pay for themes. Who is going to pay for a theme when there are so many free ones out? Now, we have to buy ones like this or we won't have any at all.

They'd sell so much more if they were only $2. $3 looks out of place as game add-ons go for that price and PSN titles aren't far off at $5.

It's a psychological thing, the number looks too high.

The LBP Dynamic theme is best one out & worth the money but its to bad Sony wont let us make our own....bastards

i have three dynamic themes afrika MS:ARCTIC EDGE WIPEOUT ALL ARE FREE WIPEOUT SUCK but others are good so may be the next version of ps3themecreator will have dynamic theme option btw is the theme creator official?

sony put out a compiler that worked but no one liked (no gui and no sound support). SBCroix made the one most of us use now (no support for timed backgrounds; feature that sony compiler does have).
SBCroix is looking into the possibility of dynamic themes (not likely mind you); no word on that yet.
sony will not be supporting user made dynamic themes ever.
