PS3-Hacks.com / playing music through my PS3?

Ok ill start by saying upon some extensive research i have yet to figure out my problem. All I want to do is upon running a "scan for media servers" under the audio section in the ps3 settings menu, find my computers music. How do i do this, I have allready set my network to private to allow media sharing upon my network. But the PS3 wont show up. Please help me....... My brother can do this with ease on his 360. But I know its possible seeing how ps3 is better in all ways. Thank you:o

I'm assuming your using WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER or WINDOWS MEDIA CENTER (since those are the 2 options for 360)
If your using Windows Media Player, you need to go to PREFERENCES > LIBRARY then find the part about sharing and click CONFIGURE SHARING or something of the sort. There will be a "Unknown Device". You need to allow it.

"ps3 java media server" its better then WMP and as soon as you turn it on your ps3 will detect it
