PS3-Hacks.com / 1st time ps3 user?

I have comcast for an ISP and at different periods of gameplay i am signed out usually resulting in a loss in a game that I play. I have a router but I have tried it wireless & directly plugged in. Is there a way to fix this?

Hmm I had a WRT54G and I fixed it by doing a firmware upgrade.
I had the same issues as you before upgrading the firmware. Maybe you can try that.
Head over to the linksys website, if you need help on upgrading, there should be a LIVE customer service help there.

if media server is enabled try disabling it; that's what I had to do.

IF the media server option is ENABLED, some bandwidth is used to keep checking on PCs on the network for Media Servers (PCs on it or not), which CAN interrupt your play, IF your network is not good. I do not have that problem, but read where it can be.

Am i just better off getting a new router? Any sugestions. This seems for a pain in the ass than i want to deal with.
