Right now?  No, not without buying a BROKEN console from Ebay...  It's that, or some tedious, fine and precision soldering...

Not really...

Count the number of wires (leads) that are in the ribbon.
Use an old UDMA IDE Cable, and cut length and make a ribbon with that many wires
Solder each wire on the UNDERSIDE of the headers, with a fine tip and rosin core solder
Walla...

I have done it...

There should not be that many wires in the ribbon cable, but, it contains power sense, eject sense, and lighting.  The eject and power may have a separate ground...  I haven't seen one, but I would guess no more than eight leads in the ribbon?

It would not be "easy" but, it can be done.  It is even possible to use the existing ribbon, if the tips will still plug into the headers.  You can expose the leads inside the cable, and solder jumper wires.  There are a few ways, none are easy.
