PS3-Hacks.com / Question about 360 Wave 3 games.

I download some games to test out prior to purchasing and I also give my brother copies of my games and it's to my understanding that this new "wave 3" is out.

I have read that ABGX will by pass that but won't let the game load if you have a firmware less then 1.xx.. can anyone tell me little bit more in depth on this matter and a possible if any solutions?

the games require version 1.51 or higher to load the game. or you can patch the games to load them on a lower version but you run a huge risk of getting banned if that is the case. your best bet is to reflash the drives with the ixtreme version 1.60 if you plan on going onto live. if you need anyother help pm me.

I've been procrastinating updating mine. I've been wanting to play UFC but its a wave 3 so I havent yet.

Only the iXtreme versions prevent loading. The older, BANNABLE, firmwares don't care...

my brother doesn't have xbox live. Does that mean I can just run it through abgx and not worry about fw and all that crap?

If you do not plan on going LIVE, then don't use iXtreme, just use Xtreme...

iXtreme has more criteria for games, like Demand Stealth backups.

Older, Xtreme, doesn't care, but the Xbox360 will record the anomaly for transmitting to M$, signed in to Live or not; as long as a LAN cable is in, it gets transmitted.

I think I have put 1.5 on my bro's 360... do i have to update to 1.51 or higher? How do I check for that any ways? Also can ABGX make it bypass the FW detection caused by wave 3?

if he is not going on live as long as you patch the game first then yes it will work without updating.

So let's get back to the point of this topic and sum it up.

If I don't care about live and all I care about is just running the game, I can use 1.5fw but just patch using ABGX. (which is automatic when I run it through?) Right?
If I missed anything please enlighten me.
