I am really lost on how to do all of this? Ok there is tsmuxer after you dl the movie you open the file and covert it. The mkvtovob same thing, With either of those does it lose quality, is it still the same as watching a blu ray movie? Also, after i encode it i have only known how to transfer it from vuze to my ps3 what are my other options. Any info would really really help im driving myself crazy.

Hi, on your question on losing quality
It all depends on the original source of file. If you DLed a video file it's not likely 1080p which is Full HD quality and yes, you will see qulaity loss since your upconverting (stretching) it to 1080p.
Some videos are 720p and some are more or less, if it remains same size and all then you shouldn't lose any quality from the ORIGINAL file. If you are ripping straight from blu ray to 1080p then you shouldn't but it would be multiple files since ps3 can't handle more then 4gigs of file.
Hope this helped.

ok, well ive done ts muxer and mkvtovbo and havent been able to test either one, i tried the redkawa the ps3 media player and geez oh petes is that HELL, how do you stream videos to the ps3 without using vuze and after streaming it how do you save it? Also, what is blu ray how is it different? Im just wondering if all of this is worth it to do all this if blu ray isnt better then a plain old dvd. An input is highly appreciated, im driving myself crazy ive been on the internet all morning.
Thanks,
Jessa

java ps3 media server http://code.google.com/p/ps3mediaserver/ (you know, the first and second google link when searching for "ps3 media server"
also, go rent a new movie that just came out on BR then rent the same one on dvd and you will be able to tell if its worth it or not
