Hello, im wanting to replace my single eye pickup with a dual eye pickup, problem is i think i need to extract the firmware and modify it for the new part, do you guys have any suggestions

u talking about ps3? if so then good luck as there is NOTHING for the ps3 hack/mod wise plus all fw's on the ps3 would be encrypted

Dual Layer pickup? Wow dude, read the technical specs on HOW dual layers are read/written. The pickup (lens) is the same, the focusing/position is changed (the LENS moves up and down).

The FIRMWARE also has to support the control of the optics.

no my friend not dual layer, dual lens would probably be what im talking about, its the better made pickup, im trying to replace the older model pickup with the newer
