FALLOUT 3
===========================
Fallout 3 pulls out what every game coming out needs - a compelling single-player story, great side quests and all the badies you can find. And, when looking exactly like oblivion, how can it not? The only good side - I prefer sci-fi shooters to medieval sword battles.
Now, of course - this game also has the problems games should not. To begin with, it has issues with "freezing when someone signs on". Now, I'm not entirely sure WHY this happens but it can be prevented. Just disable notifications. DONE. Next few problems include frame rate drops and the occasional freeze. Not too bad though but defiantly should not be in a "complete" game. (maybe a beta, but defiantly not a complete).
Back to the good aspects of Fallout. Fallout is at least 100 hours long (when including side quests) and without the "run to" part of it, you can make that into 40000 hours easily. There are TONS of side quests, from completing a book for the supply shop owner to finding partners. And these partners all range from dogs to humans to robots. There's lots of variety in clothes, weapons, etc....
The only thing that bothered me with the game (and although this does not affect the overall aspect of the game), I didn't really enjoy that guns would break. Like, I found the FATMAN and after using the god-damn thing only 3 times it broke on me - sucks, I know. But what are you going to do? Well repair it of course.
What really caught me into the game is the little things that tie the whole thing together. Now, the music may sound old but when your fighting off those mutant zombies and all you hear is "mighty mighty man" going off, you can only enjoy it. Not to mention the entire "caps" idea. Yea, thats right - bottle caps are your money.
All issues mentioned above were fixed as well as trophies have been added

OVERALL SCORE: 9 /10 [Originally 8.5 before patch]

Am I the only one that thinks this game really hard?

That aim thing? How did you not know about that. It's like a big deal about this game. I find traveling through the wastes hard. Raiders get me a lot. I can't afford much ammo.

Offline
You can avoid a lot of raiders by "sneaking" and walking around them. Helps a lot.
AND don't travel at night, lots of raiders and mutants hang in the waste land at night.

I travel at night all the time it makes my life easier because i have %100 sneak skill. BTW DO NOT FORGET THE LINCOLNS REPEATOR! it is pure awesomeness and can kill any enemy in 1 sneaked headshot ( besides behemoths). Also i know your going to say that the alien blaster is the best but its not because you only find ammo once in the game. Last thing A321's [thats his name right] rifle made my 1st play through a breeze since i got it right before raven rock. this weapon also PWNS as much as the LINCOLNS REPEATOR only that ammo is easier to find

i travel any time of the day i go look aroun for stuf and sell it to get my self more amo. i started of been good but over time i was bad and just started killing people. then its funy when the bounty huntes come looking for u and u kill them and sell there stuff. i like the that u can do any thing u whant in this game. i ended up geting bord of the brother hood of steel and bounty hunters coming and attacking me so i when to the bottom of rivit sity and got my face change and the bounty hunters stoped. but over all its a fun game.

If you get BROKEN STEEL, there is a lot of bullets for the ALIEN gun within the last ship.

Good game, though the XB360 version freezes a lot. I am on a mission at Point Lookout, the spy one, where you have to go back to the bunker, and use the terminal, then the room closes off and radiation is pumped in. You go to the panel block to bypass the door, mine freezes EVERY single time. I am playing off the HDD to, as the downloadable content IS stored on the HDD; but I have the game loaded to the HDD as well. I am really sick of RPGs freezing on XB360, any problems with the PS3? I plan on NEVER getting another Bethesda RPG for Xbox360 again. I will buy it for the PS is the dam thing will work without freezing. I was playing something else, and it just froze up on me as well... FOUR times today it froze up...

Plasma Rifle, Gauss (head shots) and Tesla Cannon (anywhere) are one shot kills on most wasteland human characters without sneaking. The plasma cannon takes two head shot hits in Point Lookout on the country bumpkins, but they're on drugs. The Tesla cannon, even with body shots, kills during the after effect... You can also blow up the helicopters with the Tesla cannon before they DROP enemies on you. I had one drop three of the large RAD scorpions in front of me. Also, with the Tesla cannon, I ripped through that fort ridden with the Talon Company Mercs, all one shot kills, didn't have to use VATS. Leveled up with all these kills.
Also, the combat shotgun at Level 26 does 1-shot head kills at close range without sneak.
I have the Winterized Power Armor, it takes no damage. I have never had it degrade on me, and it has never needed repaired. I got the medical armor too, but stored in in my Megaton Home.
I do not use any projectile weapons anymore. I use the Gauss, Plasma Rifle and Tesla Cannon, that's all that is in my arsenal. I habe over 10k Caps on me, and 2000+ ECpacks, and MFcells. The tesla and gauss use one whole ECpackl each fire, while the other weapons that use an ECpak have 10-11 shots per cell.
I got the house in Megaton to store all my stuff... You get that after defusing the A-Bomb there. You also get a bobble head collection stand to put them on. I stored all the Lincoln stuff here, I found it all before the quest, which I have not done yet, but will have them all when I do it.
Also, there is a mission in point lookout to get some seeds from a plant, DO It, you get a good handful of Bobble Heads, like four or five on your way OUT of the place. There are a lot of Mirelurks there, and water to go through.
SAVE your game before talking to someone, that way if SPEECH fails, jut reload. Same with forcing a lock with 35% or better chance, SAVE it first. If the lock breaks, reload the save, and try again. You can keep doing it till the lock opens, maybe four tries at most.
When hacking PCs, go to the 3rd attempt, then back out, you can start over. IF the PC is to unlock a door, safe, or other lockpickable door? PICK the lock first, and then hack the PC, you get the experience for BOTH. Or, if you HACK the PC, and then get the UNLOCK whatever, back-out, and pick the lock if it has one.
I like the game, the Anchorage simulation was the best part of the whole game; kind of gives you that Ghost Recon feel. Too bad it locks up up me at least once per session.
