No information what so ever...
How about some GREAT information, but as usual, I have to do it!

This for PS3? I doubt it...

It's designed for phone hardware and only one phone at that....good luck, you need it!

I hope you know you'd practically have to rewrite android to do this... What's wrong with Linux anyway?

No reason to doubt here...
Why not do some research before you start to doubt. You can run android on practically any platform its not strictly for ARM. You guys forget ITS LINUX.... IT RUNS ON A LINUX KERNEL and I am in the middle of porting it to the PPC platform.
See it run on a normal laptop here.

Last time I even try to post any thing before its DONE. Then maybe someone would be grateful.
Just thought there might be some people interested in seeing this nice lightweight pretty much windows manger ported to the PS3.

I can say I doubt it all I want, that is my opinion, and I guess I will see, won't I?
The E-PC is not a PS3, not a regular desktop or laptop. IT may use an Intel ATOM CPU, but it is not going to perform like a desktop or laptop.
Android is a project of the Open Handset Alliance, a group of more than 30 companies headed by Google Inc. to provide an open operating system and related functions for wireless devices. Google went and released the Android SDK, and an emulator in November, and it hasn't taken long for hackers to realize you can load the OS on a variety of devices with ARM processors, including the popular (among Linux hackers anyway) Zaurus line of mini-computers from Sharp.
There aren't many good reasons you'd actually want to run Android on the Zaurus (OR PS3 for that matter). Sharp's PDA/computers already run Linux, and you can run way more programs on a stock unit than you can run on a hacked model running Android. But if you're an Android developer and you want to see how your applications will look on a real handheld device, this is one way to go about it. Sharp devices running Android: the SL-C760, C3000M, SL-C3000 series, and the SL-6000 have all been confirmed running the OS. So, at best, you'd use the PS3 as a dev tool for whatever device you want to run Android on, that is hand-held. You aren't making your PS3 portable...
IT is not beneficial to run this on a PS3, the functionality of linux as it is, is well above what Android has. Android has two built in polices that Linux doesn't have BUILT IN, and they're specifically aimed at hand held devices, that's about it.

What about Chrome ? I'm iterested in getting abetter browser than the peice of crap Sony supplied . It also runs on a Linux kernal , but I'm a total noob w/no technical knowledge ... does this sound like anything worth persuing ?
