SBCroix has updated PS3 Theme Builder to V2.3a

2.40 icons and sound are now supported
Xross Media Simulator replaces the test drive app. and can be downloaded as a bundle withe theme builder or as a stand alone app.

i got it mane thanx custom sound do not work either with new icons - Im working on another theme right now again my self - i think it will be my favorite one to

test drive feature doesn't support the new icons either.

A new version PS3 Theme Builder has been released. This version is 2.3a, the new features are as follows:
* Sounds Effects will now work in conjunction with the new icons.
* Fixed a bug that was causing some themes to fail to compile
* Bundled the Xross Media Simulator into the application. The Xross Media Simulator replaces the existing 'Test Drive' Functionality.

I have also made the first release of Xross Media Simulator. This can be downloaded as part of the PS3 Theme Builder or it can downloaded as a standalone application. This tool allows you to preview themes in 720p resolution. It supports previewing uncompiled theme XML, or compiled P3T files.

Although I just updated it again... I had a couple of bugs I had fixed, but I forgot to check the files in before I packaged the program. So please uninstall and download it again.

If you already went through through all the Dirext X setup, framework setup and XNA stuff you can just cancel when you get to those particular items.

Also, I would love some feedback on the Xross Media Simulator. That is what I wanted to do woth test drive from the beginning, but never had the time to get it done until recently. So I am rather proud of it

I Forgot to add, once you install and run the software. It will Create a "My Playstation Themes" folder in your documents folder. This will be the default place the application looks for themes in the future. I didn't want to limit it, but since I am using an installer I have less options .

Also, I am working on a new application to help manage themes and version of themes. Suggestions are always welcome.
