Yes, formatting it Fat32, and dumping ALL me media to it, then connecting it to PS3 when needed! All my Howard Stern videos, and MP3s, and movies and TV series. I hope they make a DVR thing for PS3, I will be ready!

They had 500GB for 89.99 internal, external enclosure for USB, for 42.99 (something like that), so do the math...

I got the Iomega 500GB USB external for 84.99 (it may have been 89.99 though), and saved the external enclosure price. It came formatted NTFS, so I removed that partition, and then it went down to 465GB, then formatted Fat32 to 465GB... Wonder where the other 30 GB went... When I checked free space under NTFS, already formatted, there was almost a full 500GB... Using WinXP, I deleted the partition, made it again, and it was only 465 available for the partition, and no other partitions showed up... Ehh, I can live with a 30 GB loss....

ah very nice finally came over to the 500gig side. the 465 gb is all the drive has, all drives are like this. show less the there actually is, about %93. its got 500,000,000,000 bytes. i have a 16 foot active usb extension running from my ps3 to my computer that way i dont have to move the drive and jus swap it over to the extension

Man, those programs take FOREVER to do what I need to do... Anyhow, yeah, just moved things around... Will be looking for another enclosure for a 160GB SATA drive. I put in a 320, and moved some stuff around. ALL my media is on my 500GB now, and I got 98GB worth of stuff on there now. Anyhow, yeah, I guess I better get to upgrading my PC too... 3.4Ghz single core is slow now...
