After about a month of owning my 360 i was surprised that it wasnt like it was in the past. Over heating and such.
For those of you who are considering a 360 id say get one. Ive had my 360 on for over 10 hours today and the power brick is nothing like my friends were. Microsoft fixed that. Infact it wasnt even hot when i touched it. maybe 70 - 80 degrees F. How ever the 360 does get a bit hot. But nothing like the PS3. But the ps3 has the PSU in it so that will also add heat.
Xbox live compared to PSN. When i play cod4 on live i get full signal. 4 bars. On ps3 id be lucky if i could get past 3 bars. But PSN is free. But 50 dollars a year isnt much at all.
Updates. The speed when i download patches for games are extremley fast compared to patches on PS3. The amount of security sony puts in there patches really isnt necessary. All it does is increase the size of the download.
Graphics. PS3 wins in this one. Games are nice and brighter and tend to run smoother for certain games.
Sometimes when im on the dashboard while a game is loading it will freeze up and ill have to wait maybe 10 seconds for it to unfreeze and continue with loading. On ps3 it doesnt do that. Atleast for me.
The newer 360's have a new GPU heatsink in it. Helping prevent RROD. I hope. Also the new falcon 65nm cpu makes everything run a tad bit faster. I compared with a friends 360.
Overall id rate the 360 (the newer models) a 8.5/10. The one thing i dont like is how you have to buy microsoft points to buy stuff off the store.
If you are thinking about getting one id get it. If you would have no use for it like your friends dont have one or you just would never play it then dont get it. But if you are thinking about it id definitely recommend it.
My gamertag is dz93 btw.

The thing with the 65nm process, is a natural side effect of making them smaller, means that they CAN run faster, and lower power. However, they are throttled. When the 65nm CPU comes out, it is capable of 3.6Ghz or higher speed, but it will be held back at 3.2Ghz, so there are no incompatibilities during live play. The console should not be faster with 65nm processors, that would cause issues for on-line play, you would be ahead of the NON 65nm consoles... Games also have throttles built in to them, I won't get into detail how that all works... The GPU is not as critical as the processor, it can only help games to be a tad faster...
Anyhow, as far as graphics? The PS3s are crisp and bright, but the 360s are smoother than most PS3 games and ports. I played a LOT of ports on PS3, and did not like the motion compared to the 360s version... Anyhow, it's all how you look at it I guess...

It's cause ports suck. They need to get off there lazy butts and do the game right if there going to make it on both systems

Thats never gonna happen. Cost too much money.

Just as a review, the 65nm process has only been done on the CPU for XB360. The new 60GB units have the 65nm CPU. The GPU will not go 65nm till Jasper, and, a unified single 65nm process for the Valhalla. There is a SLIGHT chance the CPU would go 45nm in Valhalla, as that is the latest technology right now. The PS2 Cell was 65nm before XB360, and 360 had a years head-start.

I played dead rising on a friends 360 before. Its a fun game when ever you feel like going around killing $hit but its time consuming and gets boring fast. You'd have to be pretty determined to get all the achievements let alone kill 50,000 zombies to get the magaman blaster. Looking at the game on youtube and seeing all the zombies on there youd prolly think hey 50,000 isnt that much but believe me it is. Even when your in a freaking car driving over zombies you still wont get 1000 kills before the car breaks.
