Neither console will be hacked like people want, but man, I don't hear people crying about it on the Xbox360 side, mostly because they at least have the DVD drive hack for pirating games.  Neither console runs home-brew in the machines Dev Language.  Xbox360 has to be hacked for Linux to run too, but still below the hypervisor.  Even that has to be a specific version of the Kernel, so, any new ones, forget it; anyone who updated, forget it...

I still got four XB1s if you people still want loaders, home-brew, emulators (I have the BAED) and stuff....  Hey, they may be Xbox, but they're fully hacked, so you can stop crying about it for now.

dude dont buy a 360, i brought 1 a few weeks ago and i played it  3 hours nd got red ring of death, i took it back n got a new 1 n it works fine but sounds like a vacume cleaner, i am really disapointed in the 360, the graphics r really poor, i cant even find any games 2 join on xox live(dno y), i had 2 have batterys in my controller so i had 2 buy a battery pack, backwards comp is really crap. the music skips back and foward and the images get sticky(smudgy) the power box is MASSIVE and gets so hot its burning my carpet. the only good thing is playing music while u play games in crappy graphics

do u have a hdmi port on it turn? cause if u do im pritty sure thats the one with the smaller chip and better heatsink+brackets. if not u can look into the holes and if u see 2 heat sinks ur good.

Yeah i know. Ive already done that. And yes it has an HDMI port and yes its the new chip. Also jsamp are you running a hacked console?

yep and I did it myself. Was rather easy to do in fact.

I did follow the tuts at the muppets site. tpepsiman has a few good tuts there and at 360-hacks. Some people have had there consoles modded for quite a while now and have never been banned. Its definitely not impossible but I'm not worried about it. I never really got it to play on live anyway. Hell I have acquired 3 months of free Live and I have been on maybe a weeks worth out of the month and a half I have had it.

The towel trick will damage your 360 NEVER use the towel trick.

I wouldn't even worry about getting banned if I were you. If you get a falcon motherboard and keep your system in a cool area the 3 lights will most likely not happen. Using the hairdryer to the warranty sticker and gently peeling it off does not ruin the sticker and you can put it back on if you ever need to send it in for repairs.

Depends what you are using it for.

If you are inducing a 3LOD condition to sent it back for warranty, then YES, it works.  Most people who have gone past their 1-year replacement, will do this if the DVD fails after that year, or other non related 3LOD failure happens that they CAN'T sent it back for free.    Since you get a 3 year warranty on 3LOD, then inducing one will get you a free replacement within 14 days.   All repairs are $125.00 after the 1-year warranty, so people are doing this to get free refurbished units.

At $199.99 for an Arcade version?  That's great, you do get a 256MB memory card, so you can save games, just not download too much content.  Then you can get a 20GB drive for peanuts on Ebay now...   It's worth it, I think...

If you plan on flashing the drive hope its not a new lite-on. The lite-ons have to have some soldering done to dump the key, then you will need to buy a replacement drive, and finally flash the lite-on key to the new drive as well as spoof the model to Lite-on. Replacement drives are typically Samsung.

Imo its only worth it if you hack it. Other than that the PS3 and 360 are about evenly matched since trophies and in game music came out. Like I said in your pm desii the only reason I got a 360 was the fact it was hacked never would have if the PS3 was.
