lol ano some noob as the leader sh!ts it and runs off wen there army comes haha

Still will be a battle for the leader spot lol. Should be like Battlefield 2 on the PC where you can challenge for leadership if the current leader is $hit. Then your team mates vote on it.

This is gonna make all console games multiplayer look really small (especially 360's)

There is the chance that this game A) Will end up not being published B) Fail after it is published or C) Take like another 3 years to finish.

or D)Becomes the real $hit!
I hope it's D, cos I'm in love with the trailer..

I actually want LittleBigPlanet before I want that...i know there is 256 players but LittleBigPlanet is pushing the limits too.

Or most likely which i can put money on that this game will be released when it was announced to be released.

well seeing as its not scheduled for release until Q4 of 2009 theres still a long time to go before any of your predictions will be answered

256 players isnt really anything new.
Joint Ops used to have 90 players and that was out years and years ago. So really, this is just the first game to push further than joint ops did.
However, im still looking forward to more details about it all.

Well it's new for the PS3, and the trailer is nice.

I can see problems like snipers racking up kills against working for the objective. but then again Vehicles could combat such a tactic.
If it is done right it would be one of the best games ever. If done wrong people will avoid it like the plague.
Also 256 split between 8 teams/players to a team gives us 32 teams/players to a team. compare it to GTA's 16 players max and wow.
Aslong as my Internet can allow me to get into the 200+ games on a regular basis(without lag) this seems like a no brainer. BUY BUY BUY!!!You get snipers doing that on every game so I doubt this game will be different. Also any game that is not done properly is usually avoided like the plague.
whats wrong with snipers they might actualy have more of a use in this game seeing as it will be so big. a scout sniper would be able to go ahead of the group and spot thebest way in to an area while comanding and taking out enemys or creating a distraction.
by the way im a sniper
True BUT if we imagine a huge battlefield. Two sides at either end. no man's land is pretty much sparse and open. With such great distances and sheer number of targets sniping will become the 1st choice for every single player. Thus anyone who tries to break the deadlock by attacking will immediately be killed in no man's land. Stalemate is achieved no one can gain the upper hand. Negative tactics will yield larger scores. No fun for 90% of players.
I do like sniping but when it becomes that 'easy' you quickly lose interest.

i honestly dont see sniping becoming the primary way of getting kills in this game from what ive seen so far. sure it will probably easy way to rack up kills with a sniper rifle but those that excel in sniping are going to piss of those that arent great at it then they will probably just find a vehicle drive over to his snipping location and run his ass over. plus with airdrops being included and all those other kool features i see these as breaking up the whole snipping only type game play. just airdrop in behind the snipers and then go all navy seal and take them all out.

Offline
No... there will be a team assigned to take out snipers. Dont forget that there will be a diff sniper team too. So it would be sniper vs sniper.
Offline
Yeah snipers will not have much of an advantage. Especially if you can call in air support.
Offline
And there will be other people besides snipers who will target snipers. So its not just one team dominating. And im sure in a game like this you will always be moving so the chances of getting hit are slim.

I watched E3, And I have to say. Sony has a massive line of games that will kick XBOX's F***in Ass!
Mag, LBP, LOADS MORE! Especially the Long Awaited Home!
Offline
MAG definitly looks like a new future of games. i just hope it collaspe under its own weight. i game that huge could be plagued with so many problems. its going to take the developers months to just work out the quinks. just think about designing the game. if this game comes out in 2009 it wud b a huge surprise
Offline
The average games takes more work on the single-player story idea than the actual design of it. With the lack of a story, drop the games design rate by 6 months or so.
Multiplayer only games come out fast because all it really needs is:
1) Level design
2) Character design (no faces needed!)
3) Gun design
and thats all the designing needed. The rest of the time will be spent on bugs and problems which will be around 1 - 2 months at max and setting up the servers will be be around 2 months as well. This game will defiantly come out in 2009 and if anything, early 2009.
