has anybody tried 2 write sumthin in ps2 elf for the ps3 O_o i know that sounded wierd but seriously thats 1 way 2 launch sumthin...its not like the wii when you run gamecube linux on it,it shuts out the neat hardware...so why not u know??or have has sumthin happend that i dont know about

well the only person who wrote a ps2 program for the ps3 is Hermes. He coded psxloader which is used to run the SNES and Pgen emulator. The ps2 bios on the ps3 is missing some modules that are in a regular ps2 bios. Psxloader is loading 3 of those modules. LIBSD, XMCSERV, and XMCMAN. these 3 modules are needed for those emulators to run.
Its to bad noone has stepped up and tried to code new programs or at least tweak certain ps2 emus and games that dont work on the ps3. theres no working NES, SegaMS, Scummvm and many other emus for the ps2/ps3.
Unfortunately programming for the ps2 is really hard but lets hope someone steps up. You are sort of sandboxxed in ps2 mode though. Lol, at least you can use the GS(graphics chip), Bluetooth devices, vmcs, 4 usb ports, and usb keyboards.
