I am glad I got one. It is hackable and overall really easy to do. After you hack it get a rapidshare account and download lots for it.

Drive hacks are the main ones, this allows you to play backups, If you do get caught by Microsoft then you will get banned and no there is no way to bypass it and you will never get back on live

That Link Kai, sure, it's free, but you need to use your PC as the gateway (another device on, and using electricity), and WAY too many people CHEAT on those services, as it is as unregulated as can possibly be.   Not everyone uses it either, but most of the banned console people do.

PS3 on-line service is free, but you PAY for everything else.  I haven't followed it too much, but has Sony's store EVER given away a full version of ANYTHING?  Well, M$ does...  So, for me it is worth it.  I also got the first episode of Heros, in HD, free from Live.  I got 50% of my Oblivion ad on content, free, and so many more maps and so on for other games, FREE.  Just wait long enough, and they give them a way here and there, you just have to pay attention.

PS3 does give Free stuff.  Like when you buy Qore (half of what Xbox Live costs) they have free stuff.  This month you get Calling All Cars for free (which is a $10 game I think)  Every now and then Rock Band and Guitar Hero songs will go down to $.99 or even free.
