I think I'm screwed. It's my birthday and I was trying to install TinyXP cause I didn't like Vista. After I get past the first reboot after formatting the disk and it installs a bunch of drivers and what not, I get a message "disk error press any key to restart" OK so I do that still get the error. I was thinking maybe it's because I have my disk partitioned and I'm trying to install to D not C so I poped in a Linux Live CD and tried to back up what was on my drive so I could format the whole thing but it doesn't find it. Any ideas?

Probably drier conflicts resulted in partitioning error trying to fix it.
Do you have a disk tool programs where you can destroy all partitions and try again?

I have a GParted Live CD There are a few things on that partition I don't have backed up. NOt a big deal but it would save me time if I could back it up. But I need a new computer and I'm hoping to get money for my birthday and build a new one.
