Installing package files on ps3 debug...

Ok i ran into some trouble with my test... after a long time figuring where to put the naruto demo PKG file so that the ps3 can recognize it (which proved me retarded cause i should have simply put it in the root directory) i tried installing it, only to be met by error number 80029567.

After a quick google search i found out it's a common error in retail PS3 when someone tries to install a PKG and the PS3 needs to activate it...
Anyway, i started thinking it's bizzare since i got a real TEST console.
I Downloaded CJCE TEST PKG from PS3NEWS and tried it and it installed fine.

So after thinking a bit i came to the conclusion the only reason why the demo shouldn't work is that it came off the offical PS STORE (downloaded from PC cause there's no PS store in debug)...
Just to prove my concerns, i tried downloading MGS4 DB and anoter demo only to be met by the same error...

Anyway, anyone has an idea why the hell can't i install the PKG? i thought i could install ANYTHING, but it seems i can install someones lame PKG but a real and valid PKG is out of the question... any ideas? maybe reconstrucing the PKG?

Re: Installing package files on ps3 debug...

thanks!, somebody told me that i can't install RETAIL's PKGs on this firmware (2.15), is there any way to trick it into downgrading even lower? or am i stuck?.
Maybe rebuilding the PKG will make it ok to install.

Re: Installing package files on ps3 debug...

Well, I heard that you can only install .PKGs signed by Sony on DEBUG FW, So I don't fully understand the "CJCE TEST PKG".

I don't know of any way to downgrade Debug FW to Lower Debug FW.

I also heard there was a Debug FW 2.20, do you know anything of this?

Edit-
I looked up the Debug FW 2.20 and found it, yes it was leaked.
Here is a link if you wanted to download and install it over 2.15, possibly allowing you to install .PKGs
