How has BCapper92 humiliated himself? Its true Its been bricking consoles all over the place. Its not on the Sony servers anymore.
The only way to fix it at the moment is to format your HDD and lose all your data.
Cant Sony get something right for a change?

I can't get online with Resistance!!! As soon as I put the disc in parental control kicks in and blocks me out even though parental control is turned off.

some user have come across freezing and bricked ps3(black screen) sony has pulled the 2.4fw so the latest for some people(the unfortunate) is still 2.36.However most of us are enjoying the 2.4 update.

Note-upcoming games will support the new features-trophies,and in game music.
There are only very few games out now that support trophies the two that come to mind are
stardust
uncharted:drakes fortune.

Yeah he will because once they fix it we still only got half of what we wanted. We wanted in game music and a working trophy system. Neither of which can be used till a patch is released. Right? So now what? We wait. We wait till a working 2.40 comes out officially and then once that comes out patches MAY come out for previous games. But i REALLY doubt it. So now what do we have? A glitched up FW that has only half of what we asked for. And how cant we blame sony. Who are we supposed to blame? Who made the console? Who made the FW. Who allowed devs to create a game for our console? Hmmm santa right? No thats too easy of any exuse... Im thinking SONY. So if we cant blame sony then lets blame you. Oh and when you said we cant blame sony cuz they delivered it on time. When sony gives an OFFICAIL date like july 2nd 08 then thats when they WILL deliver it unless HUGE flaws are in it. Just like right now. They gave us a FW on time but they also bricked some ps3s. Would you rather them delay the FW and not brick a PS3 or have them release it then brick ps3s so the ps3 cant be used till the HDD is replaced or formated from a computer. Some people however dont know they can do that. So they are stuck with a useless ps3 with FW 2.40 half way installed. I bet they were soooo happy downloading it then when they try to install it they fracking freak out because they really wanted in game xmb right? now they will never have it unless they buy a new one or find out how to fix it. Thanks sony. Thanks alot. But wait. Its not your fault. I mean the guy said it wasnt so i guess it was my fault. Damn me for downloading an update required to play online and had a super cool feature that only half works. Why would i do something like that!? Oh well. Dont worry sony. Ill just buy another one. i have no problems at all with firmware 2.40.
Actually, i did when trying to install the sshd patch at first but it works fine now.

I have no problems either but when people say sony shouldnt be blamed then wtf?! Im not saying i hate sony or anything i bought there console didnt i? What im saying is sony has horrible problems with releasing things on time and they get bitched out for it. So when they finally release something early it freaks everything up. Sony is gonna loss either way. So are we. And microsoft is laughing away because people expect better things out of sony and no one expects anything from microsoft but a load of $hit. Am i right? Sony is to blame for 2.40 errors but only did what the community wanted and bitched about for so long. I hope the people who bitched the most about not having in game XMB got his ps3 bricked

OMFG NOW I HAVE fracking PROBLEMS. I finally convince my parents to let me use there fracking credit card on fracking psn and the damn thing either freezes, keeps loading forever but never does anything, or fracking signs me out. WTF SONY!?!?!?!?

A few minor bugs my ass. This FW is fracked up id rather live without in game XMB then put up with this $hit!!
