ydl for the ps3. yes because you need to format hd so 10 gigs goes to ps3 or to os, aim they have mutli client chat programs so yes

If you have a HDTV, then I would recomend trying out PSUBUNTU. Its Ubuntu optimized for the PS3. Its pretty nice. Give both a whirl and see which one suits you better. And Pidgin should work with AIM.

Umm i tried psubuntu, its like eh, but ydl was made for the ps3 by terrasoft. its the most official linux for ps3 out there.

torrents might be fast if lots of people are uploading/seeding. Are you D/l with torrents or from their servers?

Make sure to burn the .iso you are downloading as an image file on a DVD.
