hi i'm new to this and i have been trying to get vlc on my yellowdog and when it gets towrds the end(i guess) it says

(warning: rpmts_HdrFromFdno: Header V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID e42d547b
Public key for faac-1.25-1.fc6.ppc.rpm is not installed)

now i have no idea what that means nor do i know how to work with it
any help would be greatly appreciated

you have to get the gpkey or someshit like that, did you install it through yum or rpm?

k do it through the package installer located in the app.>tools>add or remove apps. uninstall and reinstall it should work

i tried to uninstall it but its telling me the same thing and it wont uninstall

yeah i usually login under root so when i need to fix something. i found that faac and faad both of them have to do with the audio but i dont know how to fix them or download a new key or even enter it anywhere

the gpg key should automatically come with vlic, hmmmmm did you add the proper resiptory for vlc and its key

Edit: try this
$> su -
#> rpm -ivh http://rpm.livna.org/livna-release-8.rpm
#> yum install vlc
#> yum install python-vlc mozilla-vlc (optionnal)

well i can't get it to actually turn on ow soi cant try that. i only have 40 gig hard drive and i installed all kind of $hit on it so
