Wow what a bad decision, throwing away that much money, on a console thats gonna burn out in 2 months... HERETIC! shoulda kept the DS

The DS sucks. I had a flashcart and a ton of games that didn't catch my attention and I haven't played it a long time. psp > DS and I would never sell my PSP ever!!

Also the new mobo's don't burn out as easy and considering I have the Ben-Q drive I can flash it. Looking forward to it. Of course I will be getting the PS3 exclusives but everything else I plan on getting on the 360.....unless the PS3 gets hacked some time soon.

Forgot about powerslave offering to get rid of his. I have been reading up on flashing and it looks fairly easy to do. The biggest fear I have is voiding my warranty and then getting the rrod.

Someone also told me iprep is good. I don't plan on flashing it right away as I am still reading into and don't want to dive in without knowing more.

Thanks for offering the help as I may most likely need it. I haven't read anything yet on the warranty issue. How can you help with that?

Do use the program to check the stealth patches are ok.

It's funny how those claim to defeat all Xbox Live detection tests, when it's the DASHBOARD that does the dirty work.  In fact, they'll usually use a GAME to do the tests, a MAJOR release like HALO?  They have been using that for the past two releases...   Also, they don't even know what ALL tests are being done, so they can't claim that. 

M$ is not through with this yet, there will soon be a way for them to check the firmware itself, and MY GOD it is SO easy, they just are not dong it.  They are only waiting because people won't buy consoles EITHER if they can't be modded.  It is not financially sound for them to bring down the titanium ban hammer now, nope, not yet, but there will be a day when they do.

Just be aware, you are NOT 100% safe no matter what you do.

I had two 360s and neither had a single fault. Microsoft have mainly fixed the problems they had so it won't break within a couple of months at all! It does get hotter than the PS3 but not too much hotter and if you keep it well-ventilated then you won't have any issues. I have ok ventilation and never had any problems!

I really want a third one but next year is gonna be a busy year for me and dunno if I'll have the time for one. That and there's only a couple of games I want so doesn't seem to be much point!
