My ISP blocks my P2P apps such as azureus and limewire during the hours of 12AM to 12PM which means i can only download torrents or other files at night. Is there any way of getting around it so i can use it at all hours of the day?

they usually block certain port numbers. In those P2P apps you can usually change the ports. Some ISPs cap those ports while yours apparently blocks them all together. There are some guides usually found on the forums to those apps or trackers to get around the capped/blocked ports.

Do you know of a forum or guide that i can find? Because what really made me mad is when the power went out in my house for a split second and my computer shut off. Because usually I can start my P2P app sometime during the night and then leave it on and it will continue to download no matter what time it is. But if i shut down my P2P app it wont start downloading again until midnight or later. So now i have to wait till 12 tonight to finnish downloading. And with my internet speed it takes forever to download stuff that im downloading.

Thanks for the link powerslave. It gave me an idea of what i need to do. But the info is almost 3years old. Newer versions of limewire and other apps have come out and changed there settings. So if anyone else knows of a way or knows of a site that is updated frequently please let me know.
