I'm trying to upgrade my fw to 3.93 and my psp says that it can't open the file... wth?

first it says taht it's verifying the 393.pbp and then it can't open it then it restarts itself...
my kernel is @ 3.71 any ideas?

I just reformatted my ms to see if that made any difference but no.
I re-downloaded the eboot file along with 3.93 fw file with no success...
and yes, I have done this before.

Any input will be appreciated.

Siptang if I were you I would just stay at 3.90m33. After all DAX is the man and no one can do it like him.

Do you have a reason you want to update? Just curious because no game out now requires that firmware to play.

when i had that problen with CFW 3.40 all i did was downgrade back to 1.50 then upgraded to official firmware

where do you see skype anyways?

I was just upgrading from 3.71 cause i wanted to apply some themes lol.

for themes I would use ctf files. They are basically flash0 themes but in the "ptf" format. You have got to use CXMB plugin to get it to work but you can change on the fly with zero chance of bricking your PSP. That is what I use once I learned about ctf themes.

ctf themes dont work on official PSP firmware does it? I get my new PSP Tuesday & need to make & get sum themes

$hit never mind making PSP thems that PSP theme creator sux, its nothing like PS3 one- crap i was looking on PSP-Hacks & those ctf themes look freakin sweet!!! Maybee i should get a pandora battery to hack PSP but i kinda dont want to

it's freakin awesome, i tell you. I changed to ultimate blue and swtiched around with couple of settings and it looks from outer space. Very cool indeed.
