any firmware can be cracked, just use pandoras battery and your sorted with custom firmware, its simple and theres good tutorial over at psp-hacks.

you will have to get a pandora battery....which is the hard part. I would suggest either getting one of the pandora datel batteries or buy an official and hard mod it into pandora (simply cutting a leg of a chip). I know you don't want to go to psp-hacks but they do have some very intuitive guides that will help you out and most likely give you better help. If you have a friend with a fat PSP you could borrow theirs if it was hacked already and convert to pandora and back so you don't have to buy anything. You will also need the magic memory stick but that can simply be done with easy installers now.
