Has anyone installed YDL to the PS3 by this method yet? I'm not clear on it and the documentation provided by Terra Soft doesn't describe it. I have saved both bootloaders as stated in Terra Soft's Installation Guide. When you download the iso, it saves on your computer as a .rar file. When you extract the file, you get multiple files and folders. Do you know if you can just burn the .rar file on dvd and install it to the PS3 or do you extract it and burn all the files on dvd before installation? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

you're a good man Charlie Brown...I've burned both the extracted and rar file on two separate dvds...both are showing that there are zero bites on both discs...although I can see where the dvd burner wrote on the discs...I'll try em out as well...lol....I guess I'm just a little worried with all the talk of bricking your PSPs if you miss a step installing something....I don't want to turn my PS3 into a cinder block if I did something wrong in the buring process of the iso!

I've tried the yellow dog from the mirrors but for some reason it just does not want to install. It could just be a bad iso but maybe they want you to shell out 50 bucks for it.

i have had no problems, i downloaded the iso, burned it with alcohol 120% @ 1x speed, followed the very detailed step by step instructions that i got from www.terrasoftsolutions.com evrything worked perfect.

My only problem is the install dvd part I have burned the iso's for both yellowdog and fedora, but it keeps reading that it is not the fedora core install disc and when I tryed yellowdog it wouldn't respond to any kboot messages, what did you type in, maybe that's the problem.

eddie420man...when you downloaded the iso...did you get an iso file? or was it a .rar file that you extracted and burned to dvd?

Well I just put fedora on it but I felt like I should have tried yellowdog out so I'm reformating the HDD and starting over, (well at least it's something that will keep me occupied all night.)
