Pros
So much quieter then the noisy 360
Controller charges from the counsel and not from a clunky battery charger.
You can get a keep USB keyboard/mouse set and not worry about it.  Also the predictive text typing is awesome.
It's cheaper than the (XBOX360 + HD DVD + 20GB = $700) while the PS3 + 60GB only cost = $600
I own a PSP, and the similarity's of menu controls and layout of the PS3 came in handy.
Looks beautiful not like the #60 copycat stand.
Turning it on by the heat sensitive surface felt so next gen
Blu-Ray movies look great

Some minor Cons
No games that interest me are out yet
(That is just so personal)
HDMI comes separate and can cost you quite and dime and nickel
Blu ray movies cost more then DVDs some as much as $40

Prices are correct! BUT!

As of Dec. 20 new units have arrived to Japan. I was quick enough to get my PS3 60GB. I made my order on the 20th and got my unit on the 23rd. As of now, I am quite sure they are all out of stock but
it worth to try.

I had to order my unit from a small and very very friendly shop in Sapporo, Hokkaido despite the fact that I live in Tokyo.

Quick Update: I just checked some online shops, there are many shops which have the 60gb in stock.
its slightly more expensive than 59,000, it goes from 61,000yen to 82,000.

I am quite sure you can get the 20gb as well.
