pretty simple, you just plug into your PC with the supplied USB cable, or any USB cable that has the proper end on it, and Windows instantly recognizes it as a Playstation 3 controller and installs drivers for it! As an added bonus, it charges the controller as well, so if you're sqeamish about leaving your PS3 on just to charge your controllers, you can do it with your PC.

Knowing I can at least use the Sixaxis with my PC games as well takes a little of the edge off the $50 price tag.

It only charges for me, and I can't play PC games using my PS3 controller. In fact my PC only recognize it and when I [(Goto) > Start > settings > Control Panel > Game controllers] to check the functionality of the controller, the controller doesn't move.

So can you please tell me from 101 how did you do that "(playing PC games by using your PS3 controller)"

ya.. its not working on my computer it rec as ps3 contoller...
Maybe we gotta set up it liek we did with that psp homebrew to controll the computer...

hmm..shitty. maybe i should have tried to play an actual game rather than assuming microsoft wouldn't be dicks and have drivers for the controller yet not allow you to use it. sorry folks, scratch the playing games for now, looks like it's charging the controller only.

This guy messed up a little, first you hav to install the drivers and configure it. you can download them (and the instruction) here: http://dl.qj.net/dl.php?fid=11679

unfortunately you cant assign each button a key so u hav to tell ur game to recognise it. Ive got 1964 (the emulator) workin .

well windows XP did install drivers, but obviously they didnt work well. that's cool though that you found some that work. ill have to give it a try.

also yes you can use the PS3 supplied USB cable or any USB cable that has the proper connector on the end, for instance one that came with a Sony digital camera.

I'm able to play Halo for the PC using the SIXAXIS. Google it. There's a program that u have to run every time u want to use it, but oh well, it's worth it.

I tried it on my PC and did not install driver files. After that my PC says No device found in the beggining of startup. I had to recover my PC to fix that. I was so stupid to make that mistake.

when i run it, it just says that i have 5 buses
and then it stops by himself????
