Tekken 6 Online Play - Confirmed!

The upcoming PlayStation 3 port of Tekken 6 will be the first next-generation fighter for the system to inaugurate full online combat, Namco Bandai confirmed today at the PlayStation Premier event in Tokyo, Japan.

As reported by Impress Watch, online play will feature as part of a number of different game modes to be included in the console version of the title, much similar to that of the PlayStation Network offering, Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection. The firm also added that PS3 owners could expect to see the game less than a year after the arcade version is released, which arrives later this year.

Tekken 6 is set to feature the most extensive line-up in the series history, incorporating a host of characters both new and old, such as veteran fighters Kazuya Mishima, Paul Phoenix, Jin Kazama and King, as well as brand-new editions including Leo, Zafina and Miguel Cabarello Rojo. Building on the success of Tekken 4 and 5, the game will also feature a host of interactive environments, use of items and a new power system, known as ‘Rage’.

I challenge anyone in this game, as long as Lei makes his way in. I have been die hard tekken fan since tekken 1 for ps1, Have not missed one since, have never met someone who can consecutively beat me. I am pumped.

lol lol u've played all Tekken games and i'll tell u guys the truth that Dark resserection on ps3 was the 1st Tekken game i played b4 that i never had a chance to play tekken b4

EDIT:
though for a beginner (since the Saturday i started playing) my friend who normally plays Tekken says im pretty good:)

i know Tekken 6 will have online but it seems that soon there will be an add on for us to play Tekken 5 DR online and kick ass... or get our ass kicked:(

i played tekken from the 3rd park then the second  then TAG 4 5 bt  i didn't play the DR cuz i can buy from PS store and i dont have a PSP sad
