On a CD or flashdrive or whatever memorycard you have
create a ps3 folder in the root of your drive.

for example:

F:\PS3

then in the PS3 folder create another folder called update.

F:\PS3\UPDATE

Copy the following update file within this folder then put the cd or whatever external device you have into it.

Follow Directions on the screen and Good Luck.

you should right a tutorial on what to use to play the games. or, how to open the instruction manual and read it (since no one seems to do this...)

well, sony didnt pakage the instruction manual on top of teh ps3, so you would have to remove it before removeing the ps3 for nothing. lol

Yer lol but they should of but knowing most people they would have just toss it to one side and try to unrap the ps3 as fast as they could of.

ok get a memory stick format it on the ps3 if u have no data or just slot it in your pc

go to my computer and acess the the card from the pc (if you didnt format it from the pc otherwise forget wat i just said on the 2nd line ) and create a floder called PS3. Then go into the that folder and create a new one called UPDATE (both folders in caps)

Now get the Update data from the playstation website download it on to your computer and put it in the memory card where the UPDATE folder is wait till it transfers.

then yoink it out and put it in your ps3.

go to system update application data and then woila it will update

Like that would do any good, they won't READ it first hand anyway... They'll ASK to be pointed. It amazes me people eat on their own, but won't do chores until TOLD to...
