Before Powerslave comes to spread the greater knowledge, PS3 is based around Power Personal Computer (PPC) architecture, and will run Unix based systems such as Linux. Windows is not based on this same system, and would essentially have to be rewritten from scratch.
However, Windows can be emulated with Linux, but runs horribly slowly on the Playstation 3.

just look around the site, theres links for ppc linux d/l's and many tutorials on how to installl linux

I would say yes but someone one have to make it specially for the ps3

It would have to be ported,or something like that.

TinyXP is a better option for you, and is MUCH faster.  With the full windows install, you still get windows drivers, and other things you DON'T NEED.   TinyXP is everything you need, and everything you DO NOT need.   It's pretty nice.
