there's snes emu out for linux.
You can play snes emu on any distro. of linux. However Gentoo has the best compatibility.
YDL has issue with video at times... or was it sound? i think it's fixed with the new version though.

I knew that there were emulators for linux but i thought he meant an emulator launchable from the xbm

Re: So...... what kind of homebrews are we expecting?

i heard on the PSP they had a homebrew thing that let you record a movie of what you were playing (whouldent know first hand my PSP is to high a version to use homebrew) and save it to your memory card. this whould be great for PS3 because of more memory thanks to the hard drive. im a big Monster Hunter (1 and freedom) fan, making vids of freedom was really annoying haveing to hold the camera steady while playing. Since i heard that they're releasing Monster Hunter 3 for the PS3 that whould be great for some new MH movies. Do you think we'll see some thing like this in the (hopefully near) future.

What Firmware is your PSP? I am sure it can be downgraded.

3.03 is the highest so far, but over time, they will find a new way to downgrade.

Yea, that is true for the PS3 scene, not for PSP. I bet he is working on a downgrader for 3.11FW or higher right now.

Re: So...... what kind of homebrews are we expecting?

The hacks homebrew exploits etc. What we will possibly see are custom xmb icons, battery icons, volume bars, info bars, virtual keyboards, xmb sounds, loading icons, gameboots, custom monthly backrounds, coldboots, cintro, custom intros,<That means>(when you turn on your ps3 you will see a different intro)custom xmb waves, file assistants and flasher programs, lua games and apps or flashers,ps3 console mods, shells, portals, flash portals, iso's,disc cracking,a theme flasher, edisoncarters cheatdevice for gtaIV,emulators that are avalible for psp (which is alot) will be avalible for ps3,custom fonts, eloaders, tiff and libtiff exploits, custom firmwares,a recovery mode, custom firmware number hacks, downgraders that dont need a modchip but will probably need a game disk for some of the downgraders, and we will have a ps3 coder legend just like DarkAlex, firmware enablers like HEN homebrew enabler, ports of DOOM and different games that will be avalible for ps3,custom visulizations, devhook,an lua player, maybe a HEX editor for ps3,and an HTML editor,a notepad, flashplayer updates,a calculator, windowsxp and other versions will be running on a ps3 without linux,a media player,a music studio,a ps3 radio,a memory expander, themes, paint apps,a messenger client,a TV app, wifi sniffer, xmb plugins, gps app,and more to come BUT RIGHT NOW IT IS JUST THE BEGGINING OF THE PS3 HOMEBREW SCENE.

There is a 3.50 downgrader for the psp realesed a while ago which requires a lumines disk but if you are going to use the 3.50 downgrader it will be best to buy the game before it gets patched!
(Dark Alex quit the homebrew scene)

It would be nice to play backup games so that my orig. don't get scratched up but as far as hombrew I would be happy just having LUA script running from gameos
note I said gameos not otheros

Nub!!! ANY FW can be DGed with Pandoras Battery. WITHOUT pandoras battery you can DG 3.03 with GTA LCS or a HEN-D and 3.50 can be DGed with Lumines.

You're the biggest "nub" here. The time he wrote that there was no pandora's battery..

I don't see that happening since programmers don't even have a decent working PSP emu for the PC. But ya it would be cool for non PSP owners. You want a PSP emu get a PSP and hax0r it with pandora.......that emu runs perfect wink tongue
