Currently Hitachi LG drives only have ixtreme fw 1.51 right? Well I need help flashing it to the drive. I have everything hooked up. My hitachi drive is in ModeB. I just need help flashing it. Does Birdy's Hitachi-LG Friendly Flasher have 1.51fw? I googled it and only saw 1.2 or something like that. Jsamp, any help? lol

Actually I think I might have the fw. I just need to know what version hitachi drive I have.

Everyone is using Jugleflasher now, supposed to be the easiest method.

Do you mean iprep? ixtreme is the firmware lol.

I prefer iprep with ntfs4dos as my OS. I have JF setup to do Hitachi's which is rare for me as I've only done 2 of those drives.

Nvm. Figured it out. Except for the problem where I need drivers for one of my via pci card thingy and the drivers are only supported on XP and not 7. So no flashing for me till I can get a dual boot working. Besides I heard microsoft can detect iXtreme FW so it wouldn't be the best idea to flash it with 1.51
