however there is a limit on how much effort and time people are willing to put into something.
if you make no progress after say... a year or more, would you continue on something?

maybe there was something someone was going to discover once but didn't care enough to continue so this hack was never discovered.

hacker groups.. idk actually. AFAIK all that worked on it were faking everything.
maybe not infectious, they got a mod chip and all AND did downgrade a ps3 with the mod chip they created.

there were a few exploits on the ps3, but there has never been a true hack the way i see it.
no homebrew running nativity on the ps3 OS has happened.. i guess. i think there was a picture exploit that let you launch ps1 backups. not sure if it was real, havn't really paid much attention cause honestly, i don't want it hacked.

i don't want people pirating on a system i like. the 360, meh. i like it sure, but don't give a damn about live so i dont care about its problems. the psn and trophies don't need to be raped like the xbox 360 has been tho.

however as a developer, not a pro by no means, i would like to make homebrew for the ps3. on the ps3's OS NOT Linux. if that could happen w/o piracy or screwing up any features sony is offering, that would be cool.

and also this forum is made to share information not to condone piracy. Most of the members have been here over year, some since 2-3 years. Since PS3 is still not hacked how come we are still here? We play over onlines as clans, share news, infos and questions about ps3 and just about everything in our daily lives.

it's true there is no true "equality" in this world but they have no "super powers" or something
they just "normal" people with a lot of money that know how to develop.
it's doesn't makes them "smarter" then the whole world.

there will be always people that will care about hacking the PS3 when this will happen.
emulation for  example,or  hacking the PS3  might help in someway to hack the next system,if there ever be one.
