hi all my first post on this forum although i always use it for good information.

Anyway i thought i would let everyone know of a problem ive had i recently installed the 3.00 firmware and started to play pro evo when after 5 minuits my ps3 turned itself off i tried to turn it back on and got the yellow light followed by the flashing red so i obviously thought i had the dreaded ylod i left it an hour and tried it and it turned on but after 10 mins it turned off again i kept trying it for about a week same thing turned on worked for a while then turned off i was gonna send it to sony and get it replaced but had an idear to try and update to firmware 3.01 in the short time the ps3 stayed on and it worked and is now working fine and has been doing for a couple of days including continuous play of about 3 hours last night this seems very strange to me and a bit of a worry some people could have payed to have there ps3 replaced when there is nothing wrong with it
anyone heard of a simlar problem
mines a 60gb ps3 by the way
