has anyone noticed...

now i really havent had a problem with firmware 3.00/01 i actually like it and have gotten used to the gray boxes everyone hates but i came across something that really pissed me off about the firmware... well i noticed that now while on the main xmb and listening to music u cant exit and multitask such as use the web browser, scroll through other albums etc. it now makes you quit playing the song when you press the ps button! now sonys taking away features wtf! it really bothers me because its something im used to doing... and i know i was able to do it before i just dont know if 3.00 disabled it or 3.01 so im wondering if anyone still has 3.00 can test this out and see if it still works

Re: has anyone noticed...

Before the 3.0 update, playing Audio files out of the DD7.1 amp always displayed a 48Khz audio banner, and now it displays the full 192KHz banner, and, no LFE to the subwoofer.  I got big front tower speakers, so I get bass, but now no LFE to the sub.  Also, now I can't change the parameters at the amp anymore, for Stadium, Theater, Hall, Church, and so on, it says "Not used" when it all worked before the update.  They keep screwing around with the firmwares, and it's starting to aggravate the shit out-a me!

The amp supports 44.1K/48K/96K/192KHz, but it has always shown 48Khz, that has changed...

Re: has anyone noticed...

5.1 and 7.1 are different speaker wise, but it's the options that are the important part.  I got a very nice Sony 7.1 amp on sale last year for 299.99, with everything I needed.  Every time they change audio options with firmware, the audio features with the PS3 available on the amp are changed, or are locked out because the PS3 says so.  If I use optical, I can change the features, but with HDMI they are locked.  I like to use CONCERT or NEO6 with Music playback, and I can't change it now, because the HDMI connection is prioritized, and what it will allow, however that works...    The way it is, music only comes from L/R speakers now, and no surround options are working, as I said, it says "Not Used" on the amp screen when I try and select anything for those modes.  Xbox360, is fine, and it is HDMI connected also, so now I use the XB360 for music playback...  Just a PITA to change consoles for options I want to use on my amp.
