God of War Storyline
Set in the dark world of ancient Greek mythology, players take on the role of Kratos, a Spartan warrior. Plagued by the nightmares of his past, the ash covered warrior would do anything to be free of his debt to the Gods and the memories that haunt him. For ten years he has labored for Olympus, now on the verge of losing all hope, the Gods have given him one last task. Destroy Ares, the God of War. Armed with the deadly chained Blades of Chaos, Kratos will have to overcome armies of mythological monsters, legions of undead soldiers, and amazingly dangerous and brutal landscapes.
God of War II Storyline
God of War saw Kratos, a mortal warrior, set upon an epic quest to dethrone a God. But his journey did not end there. In God of War II, Kratos sits atop his Olympus throne, as the new God of War – far more ruthless than Ares ever was. To end his continued torment, Kratos must journey to the far reaches of the earth and defeat untold horrors and alter that which no mortal, or god has ever changed… his fate. God of War II sets an epic stage for a devastating mythological war to end all wars.

So, they're PORTING them all over the PS3? I find it hard to believe they would RE-write them all in PS3 code to run. How do the original God of War PS2 titles run on BwC PS3 models?
I smell a portable on-disc, or built in emulator, with custom/optimized code for better graphic rendering... Funny that the patent is filed for EE emulation on the Cell, then all of the sudden, this news? This has to run on ALL models of the PS3, so...
Then again, it could be re-writes, but that's pretty involved, and would not think Sony would do something like that.

I have a 80Gb PS3, the one with partial B/C and GOW 1 plays fine for me. I don't think this is simply an emulator because theres a company mentioned for making the conversions and they're "remastered in 720p" which isn't the same as upscaling. Trophy support adds to this as that Marvel vs Capcom game added trophies too. If it was just emulation you think it'd be really fast. like out now rather than in an unannounced time this year.

39.99? I'll pass... if 20, i will get it.

$39.99 for both, remastered in 720p running at a locked 60 frames per second and with trophies for both. I'd say it's worth the $40 and I own the first one and a PS3 that can play it.

I'll decide once I see how it runs on "720p" if it looks like upscaled ps1 game then no thanks.

Ico and Shadow of the Colossus like this
so you can have the 2 game and the last guardian

Yea, its definately worth it in the long run. I tried to play the PS2 version on an HDTV and it looks like crap

U.K. will have to wait for this....
Hey, Europe. You're looking lovely today, has anyone told you that? Okay, quick like a band-aid: The PS3 God of War Collection won't make it to Europe this year. The collection includes the first two PS2 games in the series, updated with Trophies and 720p support.
Sony Europe's form response to VG24/7: "We are currently looking into options to bring God of War I and II to SCEE consumers on PS3; however it will not be possible to release the games this calendar year. We will provide further information in due course."
Here's a tip, though: The collection is unlikely to be region locked, so those in Europe who can't wait to experience Kratos' rage with all that extra "p" should probably check in with their favorite importers, or call up a Yank friend across the pond to sail a copy over.

i know gow2 had the same moving pixel problems ff12 had... i played it and beat it on my ps3 but at times it didnt look so great but i had no choice cuz i had traded in the ps2. But these are and arent a port and theres a post in ign saying that they were also fixing some textures and stuff due to the 720p upgrade so it should look better than the ps2 versions!
Here a link showing the cover art and the release date is nov 10
