Need some recommendations.

What I need.

I need a LITE software that eats up virtually no resources that will burn mp3 cd and mp3 dvd.

I currently use Nero but that's like pretty lady loaded with 4 kids. Too heavy and don't want that any more. I'm looking for something similar to IMGburn that can burn mp3 cd/dvd for my car. If you guys know of any good software, please post them here.

Re: Need some recommendations.

If your using Windows, I'm sure WMP would do the job, and that comes WITH the os.
I use that sometimes, burns easily and isn't that "heavy" I guess.

If you have an iPod are using iTunes, that could work too. It's not "LITE" but since you opened it to listen/sync your music anyways, I don't see what problem it could be.

Re: Need some recommendations.

Well, ultimately, couldn't you just use CD Writing Wizard to burn .mp3 files to a CD/DVD?

^^^ That's what I thought, but I wasn't sure because I don't really use .mp3 CDs.

Re: Need some recommendations.

yea windows built in burner will burn mp3 cd's(not dvd's) and its really lite. jus pop in a blank cd open it up in my computer, drag ur songs to it then hit write these files to cd on the left hand side of that window. imgburn can also write mp3 cd's

I want TONS of mp3s as files and windows media player won't burn it that way..

Jsamp - nah, that doesn't work lol. Just tried.
powerslave - i'll look at that software.

Re: Need some recommendations.

As stated though, you can use Windows Explorer...  Put a blank CD in, then copy and paste the MP4 files to the CD drive, and it burns a data disc with the MP3 files.

My car stereo has a SD slot, and USB port, so that's what I use...

Re: Need some recommendations.

My Pioneer MP3 system in my car won't read the disc created like that for some odd reason.
That's why i was asking...

OK, I'm clarifying again.

I have Pioneer MP3 system in my car.
It won't read the disc that I just manually put mp3s as data.
I don't have SD slot or USB port
I want to create a cd full of mp3s that will play in my car.

Only program that I know does this is nero but I don't want a top heavy program like this...
If anyone can help me create a cd or dvd with couple of hundred/thousand songs i would greatly appreciate it.

Re: Need some recommendations.

Your reader probably doesn't read Multi-Session discs, though, I have had them work in other head units I have.  There should not be any specific way to burn the discs, unless it says it won't read multi-session or whatever.  My head unit also reads MP3 discs, but, all I di it use Win explorer, then copy them over.  When I eject the disc, windows pops up and says closing session to make it compatible with other players.  They work in my head unit, as is...  Read your head unit's manual, and see what it WANTS as a format.  UDF, ISO9660, Joliet, and so on...

Just try that Burn4Free, it's FREE, and small..

Re: Need some recommendations.

if ur music is already sorted into files just use the files. you dont need to have all the songs in the root of the disk
