I Took 5.00 M33 and change the name to the name of a ps3 ofw and it changed the type of file too,so they ps3 detected it,but it says corrupt data because its psp firmware, and a second thing a found was that after i installed pdaXrom which is the easiest linux, it allows me to look at any game in my system lets me look at the files and theres an EBOOT in there too, so what if we have so one mess around with the files, and code a cfw to put in the update area on a game.

You can't see the Game O/S from Linux, so I am going to have to call you on that, being able to see the games on the HDD, and eboot file from the Game Partition.

Both things that where done a long time ago. Every aspect of the NAND, HDD and BR-D file structures have been analyzed. It's all signed and vital parts are encrypted/obfuscated. We're talking about AES and SHA1 too from what I've gathered from the IBM pages. You'd have to find a passive attack on it unless you're some super exceptional mathematician with engineering skills.

This forum section is gonna stay active with trivial theory posts and regurgitated explanations. I still like to bottom line it some though.

White collar crime in the US is prosecuted with fines that are literally decimal fractions of the whole amount gained. I don't think an administration caused the current economical state. I think it's greed and carelessness on all tiers of the economic latter. Lazy office workers who don't show up to work or don't work when there, construction contractors who undercut costs for labor by paying immigrants bare minimum wages etc..

The masses in modernized countries want convenience too much to actually cause forced change. I'm sure the economy will collapse while Obama is in office and it'll go down in the books as being his voters ignorance that caused the US to self-destruct.

He should spend some money to design an open gaming system that has a FlexIO based CELL with 1GB of XDR2 and a Geforce 9 based GPU core. He could stimulate the economy without handing out money to people who are just going to use it to do the same things that got us into this economic state, by creating a demanded branch in the economy that generates currency exchange to anyone who cares to be creative.

Currently there is really no innovation in politics to repair the US economy. I don't think it would of been different if McCain would of got in. They all think generically.

wow i found out somthing today is sony playing a joke with us despite all the cell proccesor hype of ps3 the multitasking of ps3 is equvalent to that of pentium2 is it bcuz of 256 mb ram or what i cant open more than 6 pages THERS NO GAME WHICH SUPPORTS SONGS IN BACKGROUND WILL THERE EVER BE ONE I DONT THINK SO sony really created a crapyy machine ...

Playing music in the XMB is all up to the developers if they want to add that to the game. Nothing to do with the power of the PS3.

Still, with the PS3, you can't multi-task all that well with only 256MB of CPU ram. You do NOT have access to the 256MB on the GPU, it is ONLY for the GPU. A dude showed the limit in open pages, due to memory constraints and was hoping for an error that would lead to hacking, and NOPE!

Who would use their PS3 as a phone -__- like seriously just get a cellphone and call someone.
If you have enough $ for a PS3 then i know you can buy a phone.

And BTW PS3 doesnt use all of its processors (its eight BTW) i cant remember why but i remember that the use for one is to replace another.
E.g. one processor "dies" the other will take its place

I was not one of them. This guy will allow Islam to flourish in the USA, and we will pay for it.

There is not SIX, SEVEN or more processors, there is ONE, however, there are NINE CORES. READ the PS3 specs page please.

You're only supposed to have access to SIX of the SPEs (cores), plus the General Purpose CPU which controls the SPEs (way too much overhead); the other two SPEs are backups, so they say. One for real-time failure, and one for failure off the line.

Skype? Are you serious? People expect everything, don't they?

I never supported Obama or any of the lies he tried to feed us. I picked the lesser of the two evils. And yes as Powerslave pointed out the PS3 does not have 7 processors and if you want Skype i'm sure your computer is close by eh?

The 256MB encourages efficient programming. The SPE instructions are mostly for vector processing me thinks.

They added chat/voice multi-tasking in the last update.

.o(wonder if they have VRAM functions in the SDK)
