i jsut got the ylod and i dont have warrinty
but i dont have a glue gun , is there anything i can use that is just as effective , or close to as good ?
please help me out !!

well its not a glue gun its a heat gun (like a hair dryer only 10x as hot) and a heat gun would be the minimum you could use for this.

i saw a tutorial on youtube, but i dont own a hot air gun , how long would i need to hold it for a hair dryer

find some scrap electronics and test on there boards first. time how long it takes the solder to melt (it should turn shiny) then you will have a rough idea of how long u should hold it there.

*Edit* - it turns on fine, games boot up, but after a couple of minutes it says the system is getting hot it needs to shut down and turns itself off.

so long as it hasnt ylodded again you shouldnt have to reflow or use flux just remove and reapply the paste
