PS3-Hacks.com / Just got a PSP

I sold one of my Modded XB1 for 150.00 and a PSP, so what's a good hacking site? I do not have a manual or any documentation with the thing. IT is also missing the battery door. . . Anyhow, I know these have been hacked up, so I guess there is a psp-hacks.com?

there is. That is the best site out there for PSP hacks. Basically, if you bought a used PSP or even a new one, chances are that you can't downgrade it to 1.5 because of the TA chip... but you can still run .iso's... just search around the tutorials section in the forums on psp-hacks.com.

I will have a go at it. In fact, I just updated the unit last night -via- wireless internet with the latest system update, probably should NOT have done that for hacking reasons; BUT, it was basically free, so I am just going to mess with it. I found a battery compartment door on ebay last night, that was all it needed.

Actually theres already a downgrader for every firmware regaurdless of motherboard. Check the front page

anything 3.03 and under can be downgraded even TA-082's have been done but if you upgraded to higher than that then your out of luck for now

just check the psp-hacks files section power, they have easy installers by noob, all you have to do is have your psp plugged in in usb mode, and run tha exe, and all instructions are included on the downgrade for 3.03 using a non patched gta liberty city stories(needs to have the 2.0 update on it).

PSP Hacks is the best site out there. Also, the only way you can downgrade it now is with the Undiluted Platinum modchip. These are only compatible with non TA-082/086 motherboards. An easy way to check for one without opening it up is to open your UMD Door and looking for the golden letters "IC1003", if you don't have this, great you have a TA-079 or TA-081.

This chip will cost you about $100 without installation. ($230 with)

Well you have just screwed your PSP and you wont be able to run ISOs and homebrew and sheet...
Whats the FW you upgraded to?
3.03 Or under, you're fine

since he said that he just update through the network update....it must be above 3.03.....if that's so.....buy another one or wait for the d/grader....

It is NOT 3.03, because look HOW OLD this post is... Holy crap... I updated the firmware in Jan or Feb, if you look at my original post, that is January. I did not update it on the date of saying I updated it, it was updated MONTHS before that... It it still in the 2.xx range, but I am not a thief, so I really do not care to hack my PSP.

Well still you can hack it to play your own PSX games on it.

Not everyone hacks it to play free games.
Some hack it for PSX games, Some for PSP games and some just so that he can carry a lot of games on the PSP without carrying the UMDs with him...

I for example hacked it for the three reasons XD

Yeah, I have tons of PSX games, that would be cool. Gotta find someone locally who can do that, then I will have it done. I am too afraid to send it to someone I don't know to have it done, I have had offers, but that's my Car's new entertainment system...

Do what? hack it? It's pretty easy trust me. I have successfully hacked 19 PSPs so far, all went well.

Just visit PSP-Hacks.com and go to the forums then ask for help. Also visit the tutorial section, it's full of tuts on how to hack your PSP and how to play PSX games and such.

Also it's part of the dash hacks network so you might find ppl on the forum that are also from here (such as I)

That is not the part where trust comes in. Getting my PSP back from the person that says they'll do it, is the TRUST part. No one near me does PSPs...

dude its easy as long as you can read instructions (i mean no offense but even my 12 year old little brother downgraded his by himself) and converting psone games is simple too ive already bought 8 of my favorite psone games on ebay just to play them on my psp and youd be suprised most of them actually look better on the psp...
