Ok why should I shell out £22.10 or 45.00, when I can get it for free -
www.recoveryengine.com/outlook-password
Cost - £22.10
www.lostpassword.com/outlook.htm
Cost - 45.00usd
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/mailpv.html
Cost - Free
Nice constructive comments please.

The problem is that you came on a site with a MICROSOFT OUTLOOK problem while this is a PS3-HACKING SITE. Normally, you wouldn't relate the too but for you, you seemed to think otherwise.

Don’t understand your comment, this was posted in the Personal Computing / Technology section which - correct me if i'm wrong - is for posts not related to PS3. See examples such as 'hacking wireless networks' or 'wordpress' or 'I need help' - none of these are related to PS3.
Oh by the way, its two not too.
From the responses i've received so far, i assume no one has any suggestions to my problem - which is fine. Although for future ref I would prefer no replies rather than sarcastic ones.

good luck not getting a sarcastic response to obviously answerable questions on the internet. also you really shouldn't criticize someones spelling when you have multiple grammatical errors.

Obviously answerable - please explain. As with most things in life, i'm sure that it’s only obvious if you know the answer.

The fact that there are so many different items on the list (with different prices) suggest to me that some either -
1. Don’t work
2. Are tying to scam you out of money
3. Designed to spread malware / a virus
But forget it, i'll go ask somewhere else.

Another one complaining that we don't know everything about computers on a PS3 site. Who uses MS Outlook anyway.

bukko was asking a simple question in the personal computing/ technology area so why does it have to be about PS3? What does it matter if its about MS Outlook?
Yeah your right you can find anything on google but whats the point in having this forum if you cant ask questions about things your not sure of?
You just want to be cocky a$$hole$ all the time? Im sure you all know everything... am i right?
I first joined this forum because i read good threads with good replies, i didnt get flamed and most importantly i learned things i didnt know.
Seriously you all need to grow up and if you havent got anything helpfull to say then shut up.
Im sure i speak for quite a few people on hear when i say this forum has been getting really bad.

If you are using your ISP for your POP3 mail, they can give you the password, or jut reset it; call them. Or, try and contact the e-mail service you are using outlook for your POP3 mail account, and see if they can get it to you. Otherwise, you NEED SOFTWARE do decrypt it. There is software out there, I searched and found ALL KINDS, but they are not all free.
This looks like it is free: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/mailpv.html
They have a password sniffer as well.
Dunno why you could not find this with SEARCHING Yahoo or Google...
Free? Well, you get what you get, some are illegal in the USA, but who cares. I have the one that will allow me to change XP login passwords so I can get in. It's a BOOT CD, you have to simply take the TIME and search for the utilities.
Most kids today DO NOT have the patients to take a good HOUR and search... I do not need that long, somehow, I find what I need in as little as 15 minutes. THIS one I found for you? About SEVEN minutes... If it doesn't work, well, it was free, so...

The one I have is Linux too, it may be the same thing, so, it works, that's all that's important.

Thanks for your support mate - i'm glad someone is on my wavelength!
And for anyone who thinks i'm a 'lazy kid' i'm actually 29 with a great job - but obviously my job is nothing to do with computers .
And for anyone who is interested, I solved the problem using www.nirsoft.net - a program called Mail PassView a very simple program which recovers passwords from any (well outlook and thunderbird at least) mail client.
