Impossilbe, PS3 OS is on a whole different partition that cannot be read on Linux OS.

You misread it, or you can't find it because it's not true.
You cannot R/W to the O/S partition from Linux, and as of now; anyone who says you can is a liar.

Only way to do that isn't much of a trick, and is a waste of time:
External storage media.
(PIN Drive, External Hard Drive Disc, et cetera.)

I was gonna post that idea too. I couldn't figure out how to suggest it though.

Using Red Kawa or other server type, if it is MOVIES, you can put them on the PS3 O/S partition as a download. In fact, there is a person here who says his movies are on the PS3 HDD, and he wanted them back to the PC, but you can't send them back. So, how did he get the > 4GB files to his PS3 O/S? He had to download them through the media server or web browser somehow, right?
So, there is a way to get them there ANOTHER way, but not from Linux to O/S partition.
