Yeah I seen this, I'm downloading it as we speak (type). It's supposed to be more n00b proof

im waiting to see if everything would be compatible with it before i go and download it. dont want to end up with stuff not working do to driver incompatibility

It's beta anyways.  Back-up and partition your drive and keep Vista/XP.  The site was down yesterday so I found it on a torrent and couldn't get it to boot the CD so I'll try the legit one.

I was gonna post this a while back. Never got around to it. But Ive had windows 7 beta for a while now and I love it. It's got the looks of vista yet the compatibility of XP. What more could you want. I think this is the best thing that's come from microsoft in a long time. How ever I don't want to speak to soon. Im pretty sure they will end up screwing it up like everything else they've done. It's in their nature.

yea i was guna dl it a while ago too but never got around to it. now m$ is letting us use legit copys so i thought i would test out some dl speeds. took me less then 15 minutes on my friends 20MB line

i forgot to mention to use IE to get windows 7. i wasn't able to get it in firefox

so do i but i had to use it to get the beta

Well I installed it and I like it, there are a few problems here and there but it's issues with the IE on Windows 7.

WARNING There is a authetication system built in to this that checks your other OS's installed on seperate partitions, If you have a non genuine copy of Windows VISTA or XP then this will break them. Just thought I'd let you guys know.

I was p***ed when I booted back in to Vista and low and behold up pops "This copy of Windows is not genuine. You may be a victim of software counterfeiting." As far as i'm concerned M$ have no rights to check my other partitions especially when it contains private data.

Anyways I'll probable get my @ss whipped for posting this but use "VistaLoaderV2.1.3" to re-activate vista, it can be found at my site.

So far so good, I'm still testing it. Should post a quick review about it on my own site soon.

I have a key for WinXP but it's not the one on my XP install.  I could just put it in I suppose.

Don't watch TV, no aerial, no satallite and no cable there is nothing but crap on TV.

No, but are working on a 500GB drive at the moment (a 400GB on its way), and yes, I download TV shows and movies, and more... I may do too, but do you READ about it?  I didn't complain about what Vista Ultimate did to MY PC, what a mess, but I got it all taken care of.
